As a visual explorer living in southern Utah, my art is a mirror of everyday journeys, destinations and pathways that trigger emotions. Captured through various media, my images are illustrative—mostly realism. This creativity sometimes reflects physical and emotional traumas in my life, and is reflected through subject matter and color. I use art as a healing outlet, which may also resound with the viewer. My career is a kaleidoscope of mediums/purposes. As a graphic designer/illustrator for years, the focus was pleasing the client. Now, my fine art images are created using various skills (see galleries below): painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, pyrography, and paper arts. Media is chosen depending on the subject matter. In my early years I wasn’t sure that art was my path. After many awards, and intervention by mentors, my choice to be a lifelong artist IS my story. I am now creating, and entering, my last chapter.
